today for the practice I wanted to watch this qualifying in the TV but havenot found any channel here in thailand. so I was looking in the internet and found a lot of informations, but all require a registration and then a logg in. during registration they ask for credit card data, but also say, it will nothing be charged. but I always cancel at this time because for what they need those data when they not charge anything.

so I went to a finnish sports bar in pattaya and watched the qualifying in finnish language I not understand.

tomorrow will go there again for the race. no need for understanding

in germany up to end of last year the payed channel sky deutschland had all sessions live, this year only RTL with a lot of commercial, but for free.
sometimes over the internet I switched to TV from austria or switzerland for the qualifying, but the race could not be seen because of copyrights.

so would be good if you could post here some working links how to see the race live, so payed channels as well as free channels. thank you all

Well... my wife bought a subscription to F1 access for live timing on her iPad, but although we've been billed and the subscription shows up as active in her account, the app won't unlock the paid features. A support ticket was responded to by saying they're having technical difficulties and we should just use a computer.

Now ESPN is having technical difficulties showing F1 and is running some show about greatest 20 sports teams of all time. Sigh.

Great job, Liberty Media. This is going well.

    Irately,
    Andrew.

Got a computer set up now for live timing, but no idea if it'll work yet. Edit: live timing is working on the computer.

ESPN's coverage is now up and running.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

So I gather, no way to watch live quali and race F1 outside of the EU, using a computer/laptop free or paid. Correct?

Get a decent 'Android Box' then you can find paid and free streams. Paid should be better quality ,but the other ones can also be good. You will of course need a reliable high speed internet link.
