    which pyrometer works best with turbo ?

    I am putting a singe intercooled turbo on my 308 and considering a pyrometer to monitor exhaust temp.

    3 models from Glowshift:

    0- 1600 deg F

    0 - 2200 deg F

    0 - 2400 deg F

    1. which one would be most appropriate for a single turbo instal ?

    2. what is the most sensible location for the type K thermocouple ?

    According to their web site, the temps choices are 1300dF, 1500dF, and 2400dF.
