    Gentlemen, need some advice.

As a follow-up to the problem I just resolved, can someone please confirm that #43 (Temperature Sender) and #47 (Thermistor) in the diagram are those 2 sensors with the blue plugs in the picture? If the answer is yes, then would #43 be the one on the right and #47 be the one on the left? In case anyone did not read the Water Temp Light thread, that area in question is underneath the intake manifold about 8 to 10" behind the oil filter

    thanks in advance

    Okay,

The two sensors with the blue connectors (#43) are the sensors for the Motronic ecu's, one for each bank. The sender for the temp gage inside the cabin is on the other side of the cross over pipe (#45 on the diagram), and that one is a pain in the ass to get to. You would really need to remove the entire plenum to get to it, at least that's how I would do it. But #47, the one with the orange-ish colored boot, thats the one that goes there. #47 is right under the coolant tube connector that runs to the expansion tank.

This thread has some great pics of what I'm talking about. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=229830

    I think I understand now.

#47 is the red covered plug in this pic, and there are two of # 43 which are the blue coloured plugs also in this picture. When looking at the diagram it only shows one of # 43 which is what caused my confusion.

And # 45 is what you are pointing to here.

This is what came loose that caused the Water Temperature Light to turn on in my case a few days ago. I did almost the same thing that Eric did (with respect to removing parts to get to it) except I did not touch the throttle cable, I left it in place as it was not in my way whatsoever. Also, I only removed one of the electrical connectors (the one on the right) and that left me plenty of room to reach my hand inside and re-attach this plug.

    Thanks again Ernie.
