No, not at all. Companies are free to express their opinions, but they are not free from the consequences.
Lol, have a drink in hand. No need to “lighten up” as I was never worked up. Just curious, and still am, as to why you feel compelled to politicize this forum, but surely not losing sleep over it. As I said before, more sad than anything else. Nothing personal; sure you’re a nice guy! Gonna go take a run in my Nike’s now.
I also have them in “arancio borealis” along w “verde scandal”...couldn’t decide between the two neons. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Puma Speedcats are about the only thing that fits in the footwell of my Pur Sang, though. In brown leather. Matt
Ecco. Last day of a 13 day trip. Eight Pacific Ocean crossings. They get pretty beat up climbing in and out of the seat because of the tight space and seat tracks. They always start off with a nice coat of polish but get pretty hammered after 13 days. Some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned and they don't set off the metal detectors. It is pretty brutal, takes a few days to recover when I'm done but I do like working a long trip then have the next 15-18 days off.
My catagory is called 7er. What this means is I fly the 757-200, 757-300, 767-300 and 767-300er (extended range). This catagory is the only instance where you can fly two different planes, 757 and 767. Boeing designed the airplanes this way and rumors have it that the FAA will never approve another dual aircraft certification again. As far as my schedule goes I might fly a 767 on one day and then 757 the next day or even fly the different airplanes on different flights on the same day. The instrument panels are almost completely identical. The 767-300er does have a few more things pertaining to the long over water flights it does. Also it's interesting in that in a 757 you step down into the cockpit while in the 767 you step up into the cockpit. This has to do with the cross section of the fuselage. By doing this the instrument panels and front windows are the same size. As far as actually flying the two they are remarkably similar. If any thing the 767 even thought it is a bigger plane actually responds to the flight controls faster than the smaller 757.
Hey Dave , I’m not wearing Nike’s either. By the looks of it neither is Jim the pilot as the Nike shoes will interfere with kneeling during takeoff/landing. Best , Kirk
Birkenstocks are kind of in right now but I just can't get my head around the idea of EVER wearing them.
Still can't believe my Eagles are champions! HAD to buy a pair of these! Image Unavailable, Please Login
AE Leeds 2.0. Plain, but very comfortable. Just ordered another pair in brown pebble finish. $130 on sale. Promo code Plus40. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm a little worried about AE. I talked to their sales manager early this year and he told me they'd been taken over by a new owner who was trying to save the company. They've had a different sale going on now for months. It sure smells like desperation. I hope I'm totally wrong and my suspicions are way off base..
Interesting you say that, because the packaging from my last purchase was slightly different. I just attributed it to trying to update their image. Perhaps it is time to stock up in case they move production offshore. I’ve noticed more of the casual shoes are imported than before. I’m stopping by the factory over Columbus Day. I’ll let you know what I find out.
