Which Stebro Muffler for '83 308qv US?

I would be careful...it appears even Stebro doesn't know. Check the archives about the guy that went through three or four exhausts trying to get one that would fit his 308. Other folks have had no problems with delivery. Just seems to be a crap shoot. If you decide to order from them, just cross your fingers.

For your year there are only two basic types - the single cat and the dual cat version. Looks like you have established that you have the dual cats so there's your answer.

I have a single cat Stebro and test pipe on my '88 Mondial 3.2 cab. The Stebro systems are nicely made and look fine - the welds aren't polished and the overall appearance is a little dull, however, not everyone likes a big shiny exhaust system - kinda like not everyone likes big 22" "spinner" pimp daddy wheels either. The fit/dimensioning is spot on. The sound is wonderful - you definitely won't sneak up on anyone however. One nice feature is the Stebros have removable silencers in the outflow side of the exhaust which tones it down - you can remove these for track days.

Definitely pay by credit card in case Dan at Stebro doesn't ship the system in a timely/reasonable manner. Nice guy, but, not quite fully on the up and up.

 

Suggest pulling your old muffler, taking a couple of pix & sending them along with your order. Might help Stebro get the right one.
