I've read all the posts I could find and listened to several U Tube videos, but since no one relates their opinion or video to a specific version (standard or loud), I'm still not sure which Tubi to get for my '90 TR. Since I definitely don't want something that drones on the highway or wakes the neighbors , my inclination is to choose the quieter standard version. But the distributor claims that he sells so many more of the loud version that he no longer stocks the standard version in the U.S. and it would take at least a couple of months to get from Italy. He says that no one has ever told him that the loud version is too loud for the street - or maybe he just wants to sell what he has on hand.

Anyone here actually have a feel for the difference in sound between the two versions? BTW, my car is stock other than running cat bypass pipes.

    Thanks

Have you listened to the Capristo clips on you tube? type in ferrari Testarossa capristo and it should pop right up! My 89 has a custom exhaust which the previous owner had installed in fortunate as it's just about perfect. Much better sound than stock but perhaps not as loud as race version capristo. I think vivid racing is a distributor for them here on f chat. I also believe they offer a couple different levels of sound and incredible fit and finish. You can see the beauty through the rear of the car when it's installed. For the record I have no drone and am louder than stock but If I went for capristo I would get the louder version as I believe the clip on you tube sounds amazing. Then again I would rather have a little more than less sound and everyone is different. Also if it's in the budget I believe capristo has a racing exhaust with an adjustable baffle so you can go from quieter to loud with touch Of a button :). Keep us posted.

I was also unaware that Tubi made two versions until the distributor told me. I've never seen anyone identify their exhaust as one or the other.

Thanks for the Capristo suggestion. I had heard of them through my post searches, but being a bit of a traditionalist, I just initially thought of Tubi first. The cars with the Capristo sound great the videos, but it's hard to tell how it would sound from inside the car from the dyno runs and the drive by's. I must admit, their valved system is intriguing.
