What I see in both cities is excessive flashing of new money, after all isn't that the Texas way. I have spent some time working in both places. The environment doesnt seem to be all that different to me. I guess my point is, Texas itself is probably considered flashy and nouveau riche by other peoples standards and all the real old money is on the East Coast.
Ditto on this. I would be surprised to hear Houston has more Ferraris than Dallas. If you go by what is for sale alone Dallas has 3 fold more cars. Both of my Ferraris have migrated to me from Dallas (after a short stay at Norwoods).
