I have some Campagnolo's for my GTS which size tyres are the best to put on them.

Seriously, I think either wheel wears the same size tire.

    Cromo or Campy. 205/70-14

    Michelin X or XWX

Either wheel (Campy or Cromodora) came shod with 205/70VR14 tires, originally Michelin XVR or Goodyear G800 Grand Prix, neither of which has been made in many years. Closest current replacement is Michelin XWX from Coker.

Sumitomo also makes the HTR 200. It's not concours correct but very cheap. The Michelins from Coker probably grip better, but unless you track or autocross your car it won't matter.

Actually at concours what kind of tire you have doesn't matter.

Like all things with Ferrari owners, it's the size that matters. :D

If you're Dino's riding on 205/70-14's, it doesn'tmatter what brand you have.

I ran Sumitomos on my Dino for a while, and liked them a lot. I prefer the xwx because of the look, not really for how they handle. It's pretty much a toss up between them to me.

I have the Sumitomos. As Dave says, they're quite good, especially considering the fact that they're roughly 1/9th the cost of XWXs! The Sumis have only been on the car for less than a year, so wear is hard to gauge. I do remember that the car used to go through XWXs on the rear at an astonishing rate, and that's when one could still get them for $150 a piece or so. It's true that the XWXs do look a bit better, are more authentic, and are V-rated (Sumis are "H"), but something inside me just refuses to pay $400+ for a tire!

Here's a handy online tool for comparing tire sizes, in case you haven't seen it:

For me the clincher is that according to Michelin a tire is only good for 7 years, no matter what the mileage. So figure you're going to spend $2K every 7 years just for tires, just because they look better. On my canyon drives the Sumi's stick just fine.
