Which wheels on my 348?

  1. Keep it stock

  2. Put the modulars on it

    The modulars look nice.

I would prefer the speedline C. wheels. But I cant find there in the EU :(

I have stock wheels on my 348 but I think I prefer the modulars. To me they look like something the factory could have offered as an upgrade.

Stock wheels make the car look old/dated. The modulars modernize the car and lend a bit of dimension to it.

Yep. Put the modulars on and take 5-10 yrs off the car visually.

I think the original 348 wheels look fantastic and fit the rest of the design. Those modulars make the car look over-wheeled to me. Only thing I would add to the originals is spacers - to improve the look from the rear.

Not sure what the fascination is with trying to make a car designed in the eighties look more modern. The only person you're convincing is yourself by doing that. If that's what you're trying to achieve then each to their own but to me, fitting non OEM more modern wheels ruins the overall design of the car.

IMHO you have three choices to keep the car in period. 1 - stock maybe with spacers, 2 - GT Competizione street split-rim wheels, 3 - magnesium GT Competizione race, star type often referred to as 348 Challenge.

Again all personal preference, just my viewpoint.

I prefer the 360 challenge wheels on a 348 like Sherpa23's pictured below, but if you can't get those, then go w/ those modulars pictured. Thay are way better looking than stock.

    Hi,

The first thing to change on a 348 are the wheels, the worst looking part of the car!!

The best 3 wheels that will look great on the car are 355, 360 Modulars and the best are 360 Challenge wheels but those Mod`s are a close second.

    Regards,
    Phil.

    Hi Pap,

Your right I should have included the 512 TR wheels, so make that the best four.

Your 348 looks great with the CS wheels!!

    Regards,
    Phil.

    Im biased ;)
The 360 modulars will raise the car 2cm. I had NO rubbing or any other issues, in fact it made the car feel instantly better handling wise. You also do not have to mess with the spacers that the stock wheels need to look half way decent. I swear the spacers make the car feel "funky", instant change for better when these wheels were fitted.

I am just finishing up all new suspension bushings, cross drilled rotors, delta vee shock rebuilding & dropping 1cm (since I gained 2) will post pics when I get her back this week....looks incredible with the 1cm drop & rotors added!!

Its all preference. Do what YOU like. You are your own harshest critic (at least I am)

Post pics when you pull the trigger!
    Chris

Thanks mate! Here is another photoshopped pic of my 348. Lowered with 355 wheels. I love all Ferrari wheels. 355, 360 CS and 512TR!!:eek:
Wish I had enough money to buy them all, with tyres and then once a month rotate them to have a different set on. ;)
