Was looking at possibly purchasing this car, located in Montreal at the John Scotti dealership.

Dealer advises car has app 190 miles on odomteter since new. All services have been performed (15K; 30K). Car has been started regularly, although not driven much.

Has anyone actually seen this car in person. Comments. I'd would be driving the car, but not on a regular basis (maybe every 2 weeks or so). How wise would this be, seeing as though the car has basically been sitting since 1990. I love the white/tan combination, and new is certainly a plus. Just concerned as to the reliability issues that might "pop" up.

    Your comments are appreciated.

I was there about a week or so ago, and I saw it. Quite a nice car. I've never been a fan of 328s or white cars for that matter, but the white + tan combination really was nice. I inspected it as I did any other Ferrari there, and it was nice. No visual damages at all. I'll see if I have a picture of it, one sec.

I think white is cool... as a matter of fact, I plan to get a White Lamborghini Countach 5000S sometime in the future, or another white Testarossa, miami vice style....

I dunno - seems a shame to drive a time-capsule car like that: big depreciation for every km, and a 20 year old new 328 lost forever.

But, imo - if the car is properly restored with all the rubber bits/etc taken care of, I wouldn't hesitate to break her in and drive her. Especially if my mechanic (or yours) gave it the thumbs up.

Knowing John Scotti they probably want 5 x market for the car.

There is got to be something I don't understand... How 15k and 30k services could have been done on a 190 miles car?

99% of Ferrari's get their 30k service done by time instead of mileage: 30k = 3-5 years depending on your mechanic. It's been discussed at length for way too long on why/when those years, please don't ask :)

Oh I get it. At some point, they do what they would would have done if the car would have reached the 15k mark.

    Muchas gracias!

    Yup.

Sounds like a nice car. What's the asking. There is alot of things to look over on a car that has been NEW for soo many years. But white on tan is very porn. I think it's cool. :D

This car is S/N: 80386 and has been for sale since August 2001. They were asking $139,900 for it back then, so who knows what they're asking for it now.
