    Hello everybody,

    saw an interesting add on Ebay Item number: 4638969548. White 348 ts, 1990
    Has anybody information on the history of this car/owner(s) or the dealer that is selling it Schmitt of St. Louis. Has a low mileage and looks nice.
    I do not about the price though (around USD 45,000)

    Appreciate your input, as always

    Don´t know about the car, but suggest you do a forum search on the dealer.

    Schmitt (Daniel Schmitt and Co.??) dealership....DON'T buy anything from him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 He sells wrecked crap. Coupla years ago some black dude went in there n beat him up w/a baseball bat. I love that guy. LOL. Years ago his dad had a Royals Royce dealership. He was the first to get nailed w/speedo rollbacks. That was prob 1975! Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. If you want a giggle, call Klaus at Lindbergh Motor Sports. Hopefully he hasn't retired yet. His shop across the street. He is an old crusty German who builds racing Porches. He helped me w/my hub. He is a superperfectionist. When someone asks what the bill will be, he says "bring a wheelbarrow full of money." Hehe. He has some Schmitt stories that will curl yer hair. He's like the professor with the timetraveling DeLorian.

    Everyone seems to be bargain hunting for 348's. Except the color seems resonably priced car with recent service from reputable dealer.

    Ditto on the caution warning on Schmidt. When I was looking for a car they were evasive with thier answers and gave me a generally bad vibe.

    Thank ya all,

    Had a little chat with one of their salesmen. I asked him why there was no technical description with the car (state of the engine, steering, brakes, etc). Could not give me a straight answer. Just told that I could have it inspected by a third party. this morning received an e-mail from him, saying that he had another 348 TS (blue) which he "believed" to be a better car. I am a salesman myself, if I would use this word to one of my customers he would likely hang up inmediately and would have lost all my credibility. As we say here "believing is what we do in church".

    Will be carefull and look at the one at Tonkin´s

    Why not buy Michael Everson's red/tan 348? He sounds willing to accept $45k and has the parts in hand to do the engine out service. The car used to belong to Stephane (ScaleDetails) and is a really great looking 348 with low miles at a great price. Unless you are a big fan of the white 348.
