So I'm hoping to seal the deal on my first Ferrari this week and after a long history of modifying cars I've already started to make some plans for the F-car. The car in question is a white 1990 348TS and right off the bat she'll be getting a new set of shoes and some brake upgrades. I have searched far and wide and can't seem to find hardly any pictures of a white 348 with some black wheels. I'll probably get some 18" Fikses but pics of anything black helps. I know its not the route of the 'purists' but to each his own, the car has higher mileage (by Ferrari standards anyways) and will get tracked regularly so I'm not too worried about 'ruining' the car with some tasteful extras. Lets see what you guys got!

My only advice is to Just step away from "the chrome."...

    :)

Black is not my choice for wheels - I prefer gun metal (hot on white cars)or a warm silver to black. But I think you'll do fine.

There is a white 348 for sale locally here in WA state with chrome set of wheels. Are you getting this one? Saw you are located in Bellingham, but not sure which state you are located.

That's the one :) It was actually previously owned by Miltonian on here who I'm sure a few of you are familiar with. Believe it or not I actually rode in the car some 10+ years ago when he owned it and it was the first F-car I ever rode in so it also holds a certain sentimental value as well.

Ya that's pretty much the only car I've been able to find any decent pics of either, here's a link to a few more of it.

As far as brake upgrades go I'll just be doing 2-piece slotted front rotors and I'll machine some slots into the factory rears just so they match. I'll also play around with a handful of different pad compounds and put together some ducting, I'm pretty confident the factory calipers will be sufficient for now. There's a track day mid June I'm hoping to take the car to so we'll see.

Here's a few pics of the car in question, wheels, exhaust, and getting rid of the black film on the taillights are first on the agenda.

Thanks! The track day is the Alfa Club day at the Ridge, my company will actually be there as a sponsor for the event.

Ya I believe you're talking about Dr. Seals' car, he actually founded the Vehicle Research Institute here at Western where I got both of my degrees.

So I found a set of Magnesium Speedline wheels that I think I'll be picking up and I'm trying to decide on the color, thinking satin black or some kind of gunmetal. Anyone have some awesome photoshop skills that would mind seeing how they would look in the pictures above? Here's a link to a few pics on the other forum of what the wheels look like, copy/paste and take out the space
