    I elected for the exhaust upgrade to black on my 2024 Roma . Very early on white rings appeared at the end of exhaust tips. Nothing has been in contact with tips. It appears to be the result of something (gasses or moisture) coming out of the pipes.

    Anyone else seen this?

    Unfortunately yes.

    It seems a regular issue on the various different F models with black tips. Your dealer might get 1 replacement set on warranty, but it will likely happen again, and you’re unlikely to then get a second set on warranty.

    I run a couple of older (non-catalyst) cars from the 80's and I can tell you that what I am always after is white residue in the tailpipe. It is a sign that the car is running the right air-fuel ratio and got nice and hot during the drive. Black/sooty exhaust is always a bad sign on my older cars, and worse still if there is condensation. I think the white dust is left when all the soot is burnt off, a bit like a self-cleaning oven.
