    I'll have my 330 there, it's 3 minutes from home. It's a very neat event with plenty of interesting machinery, nice park setting.

    For muscle car fans, there is also an all Mopar show the same day, Sunday, April 23rd, between 9am-3pm at the "Dallas Dodge" dealership located near Garland Road & 635. Usually about 60 Mopars from the 1960s-'70s show up plus a litany of Vipers, PT Cruisers, etc. No beer, but free hot dogs & hamburgers.

    Hi, George.

    All- We'll have a 12X12 canopy set up and it should be near your cars. Come on by. We'll have some folding chairs (or carry along your own) so you can rest in the shade and shoot the breeze.

    hplug--regret missing you, and by all means post your pic!

    I didn't see any Fchatters there save Greg Brendel, who had changed colors for the day and was driving his E-type...beautiful car, beautiful passenger.

    Here's a few pics of the Italian exotic lineup...two awesome Dinos, the '69 Mangusta, and my old horse...another of today's photos is in my profile.

    The Mangusta won second and one of the Dinos got third in Italian cars. First place Italian was taken by the small red/black Fiat.

    I took my red '68 E-type roadster and arrived around 12:45pm. Saw Greg Brendel's E-Type parked in back of mine, but missed Greg and his hot date. I thought the best cars at the show were:

    1 The Rolls Royce with the black and lime green exterior paint;
    2. The medium blue "Series 1" E-Type coupe;
    3. Authentic 427 Shelby Cobra;
    4. Just restored red TR6; and
    5. Mangusta

    The Ferraris were spectacluar, but that is to be expected. Apples & oranges

    Sorry we missed you Greg. Here is a pic of the jag, it runs great now after reviving it from its 7 year slumber. Thanks for the compliments on the date/fiancee:).

    Is it true that Enzo was so inspired by the E-type that he built the 250 GTO? And that he thought the E-type was the most beautiful car ever made?

    Largely supplied by the owner, here is some info on the Best in Show winner:

    Best in Show winner: White with black fenders, a Gran Sport Quattroruote. It also is also sometimes referred to as the 4R Zagato. It is a factory supported reproduction of the 1929-33 6C1759 Zagato bodied Gran Sport roadster. The car was commissioned by Quattroruote, a Italian enthusiast magazine. Zagato Carrozeria recreated the lines of the original car and dropped it on what was at the time "State of the Art" Alfa components. Ninty-two of the cars were built between 1965 and 1968. The car uses 101 Series Alfa Giulia suspension and drive train. The car has a 1600 cc engine with twin Weber DOCE Carbs.

    The car is locally owned and was purchased from an owner in CA three months ago from an add in Hemmings. The car has 56,000 "klicks" on it and was in excellent shape. Further work was done here in Dallas after it arrived by truck at Shade Tree Enginetrics. The car will be in Tulsa for the National Alfa Romeo Convention in June.

    It got second in Italian cars...I stayed around long enough to see those winners posted.

    The ZR4 Zagato was indeed beautiful and it had me fooled until I walked right up to it...I vaguely recalled that Alfa had produced this factory replicar, and then got into a discussion about it with one of the Ital car club guys.
