Can anyone advise if the white "paint pen" style writing on the top of the upper control arms on 328's is from the factory. I have two 1987 328's that have it They are both UK cars each with very good Ferrari dealer service histories. I guess it is possible that it was applied by the dealer service workshop but both are low mileage cars with no evidence of suspension rebuilds. Maybe the GB which is on all upper control arms on both cars mark the part as a Uk part. Am I wasting my time trying to preserve these markings???

my 88 GTS has white lettering but not like that. That looks more rattle can but who knows? I think there was factory identification of suspension pieces in white paint. I've preserved mine.

Auto Salvage yards use that to ID parts that they use for specialty items. The Factory uses templates on Suspension parts.

I also posted in the 308/328 section and the consences is that the factory did apply this lettering. This makes sence as I have two 328's both with the same lettering on all 4 top controll arms. Anther owner in Australia has the same. Apparently the GB stands for British version and GD is an italian abreveation for RHD. I would still like to know what the printed M9 means. Thanks
