Was just wondering how many track your cars and what clubs do you do it with? Any in the great lakes/mid west region?

    Autobahn/Road America/Gingerman/Putnam/MidOhio etc...

I actually race in NASA Midwest and Great Lakes regions, and we hit all of those tracks in that series. They run a great program, decent track time and ALWAYS on schedule, unlike many other organizations.

I have tracked with both MVP and CHIN (I track a 599 GTB, Corvette ZR1 and Challenge Stradale). Both events were fantastic. Well run, safe and fun. They both made the track days at Cavallino Classic look like a REALLY BAD (IMHO). Give them a chance and you won't regret it!

Interestingly, NJ Motorsports Park and Monticello just announced a club vs. club race series this summer. 4 weekends, 2 races per weekend split betw the two facilities. NASA preparation roles. First time I've seen this concept, bold.

I'm a member at NJMP and their member days are terrific, $150/day, 4-5 sessions, but longer than a car club would do. Time trials option. Open wheel and sports-racer run groups if you want to run a real racecar.

I can second the recommendation for MVP. I've run with them twice and both events (one in the pouring rain) were run extremely professionally. Great group and, at least when I've run with them, no one who made you worried about coming back in one piece.

I race with NASA and SCCA, track events NASA, PCA, and local club called Drivers Edge. If starting out find a club with good curriculum going from classroom, dual, and then solo. PCA is usually good at this along with some local clubs.

I'll throw another recommendation in for MVP, I've done Autobahn and Blackhawk with them and will be doing Putnam in a month or two.

Mark (the owner) is on here occassionally, he's a great guy and a car nut of the first order.

I have participated in track/DE days with PCA, trackdaze, and NASA. The PCA seems to me to have had the best instructors. This is probably biased because they know the cars, unlike the generic clubs who really didn't know how to handle a 911.

I track with anybody who offers a track day. The organizer is secondary to the track. Also sometimes I don't have the option of having my own car, so I'm always happy when they offer drive for pay.

    Tracks:
    - Gingerman
    - Road America
    - Indianapolis F1
    - Autobahnclub Joliet
    - Joliet oval
    - Disney oval
    - Chicago oval
    - Mallorca
    - Le Luc

    - Spa, Long Beach, Denver and Monaco :) well, not at speed really...

Planning on doing Bremgarten this year. Hopefully at speed even...<shh>

I spend a lot of time at Mid Ohio with whatever PCA region is there the weekend I want to go. I've never had a bad time, except when it rains... I want to go to Watkins Glen soon.

Today since there are no alfas coming to america the local AROC alfa romeo owner's club has quite a nice nation wide track progression. The have hpde group, time trial groups and race groups. They are not as intense as SCCA and a great way to start your path down the sport with good education. Check of the local socal AROSC.org school at streets of willow this weekend. The school is very fun and very high level for cheap. It is not a skippy school but it ain't $1500 bucks a day either. The real problem I see is people jumping in to hpde with no or bad instruction and really learning all kinds of bad habits, bad ettiquite, and bad technique.
