I keep up with him. He sends me fiction every now and again.

 

I believe Rob told him to STFU, then he told ROB to STFU.

Then Rob made him STFU for good!

 

Can you blame him? Rob's board, Rob's rules.

I believe it was his "Right Turn on Red" thread that sealed the deal. He wasn't too happy with others when they pointed out that his interpretation of the law was incorrect.

 

For better or for worse thats a pretty good summary of what happens to pretty much anyone who starts arguing with Rob.

 

For the record, the guy sent me some really offensive PM's that were way over the line a long time ago. I wondered what took him so long to get banned. I don't think this site is intended to be one where people pick fights and use foul language and insults as a way to agrue. I for one am glad he is gone.

He will probably send some trash my way again now if he reads this. Oh well

 

If you are banned, you can't send PMs, so far as I know. If you responded to him via email and he has your email...watch out!

 

While I realize this may not be a popular statement and I remember how he got into it with JSL and others, but offline, Bill is actually a great guy!

 

Out of curiousity, does it take multiple mods to ban, someone or can it be one mod? ... Just curious, thanks for the info, if anyone knows.

I'm glad to hear that he is a good guy. That wasn't my experience. However, we all deserve some grace. For sure, I know I need more than most. Might be interesting to meet him someday. But, then again, I think I'll pass.

 

Im banned for life from flatsix. Come to think of it I deserved it lol. Although I dont agree with the mod (944 guy) that banned me, to his credit he did give me fair warning and some grace and leniency before I totally flipped and subsequently got the boot. Although I really dont like the mod, Id say that he is a good moderator. I find it hard to believe that people that get the boot dont deserve it. If I have unruly customers, Ill do the same thing in my business establishments. In someone elses house one needs to adhere to the rules established by the proprietor, simple as that.

 

Yeah, I probably should have clarified..... It wasn't for just one little comment, Nibs had been pushing the boundaries quite a bit so it was more of a final staw. I can remember some funny arguments people have gotten into with Rob, I seem to recall somebody daring Rob to ban them and then getting all mad when they did get banned. That particular user has popped up at various times under a pseudonym in order to post snide remarks.

 

Hey Rob, have others asked you to ban Imperial 183? Actually I get along with him now.

But I have to say the funniest thread was Allanlambo and Nibblesworth flaming each other. It was hilarious.
