Who Banned Nibblesworth and Why?

I was thinking of another incident from a few months back.... in the tech section?

 

Rob and JSL are 100% correct. Rob gave me TONS of leeway over a number of years, but I continually pushed the envelope. I don't blame him one bit for banning me, and there is no reason why he shouldn't have.

I do have a terrible temper online, and it burns me everynow and again. For that, I apologize to all I did offend here.

JSL - Let me just say that what I sent was way over the line and completely inappropriate. I know it doesn't matter much, but I am ashamed of my conduct with you, and all I can hope is that at some point, it is forgiven (not forgotten).

As for Dave and Art - you guys are fantastic people. Thanks for the kind words. Dave spent a number of hours getting me sick in his 550, and it was great. He then bought me a great cigar afterwards, I think to make up for the green tint that was embedded in my cheeks during the entire drive.

Art and I have only met once in the real world, but considering we had been bickering and at each other's throats for a number of month before that, we both said hi, shook hands, and had a good time together. We've made multiple attempts to meet again, but things always get in the way. I hope we do get a chance to grab a sandwich or something or the future.

As for the rest of the members here who had to put up with my BS, I apologize. Rarely was I a constructive member of this community, and I deserved to be given the boot.

I know creating a dual account is a no-no, and I don't expect this account to stay open beyond Rob reading it. Just wanted to say hi, let you all know that I was an immature turd, and I'm sorry for that!

Yup. He's smart and insightful, too bad he's gone.

 

Now it is me who is humbled. Forgiveness is the product of grace. I have been given much grace in my life and I need to extend grace as well. Forgiveness preceedes restoration and given that forgiveness is granted, restoration is the natural next step. I hope to meet you some day and we can laugh over silly internet struggles. Here's to you, thank you for your post.

That's nice and all, but just out of curiosity, why do people feel the need to be that difficult to begin with? If someone is so great in person, what makes them become a moron when they get behind a keyboard? I'm always interested in peoples' motives for bizarre behavior, so I'd love to hear from some of the keyboard warriors exactly why they feel the need to be such schmucks all of the time. If you can look back now and see that you really were being an idiot, what was preventing you from seeing it then? Did the 500 messages a day informing you that you were an idiot not get make sense? Are the site rules written in an unknown language? I think a simple warning, then perma-ban would be good enough for these users, as they obviously have nothing better to do than act like 12 year olds. "Great in person" is no excuse for being a moron.
