I'm in the market for a used Tubi for my 92 TR, any comments from some one with more experince if there is a good idea to remove the original and replace it with a Tubi.

I had one on my 360, but not my CS.

It sounds terrific on the 360, I could'nt believe how much better the car sounded

 

Hey John, I started "The ultimate exhaust thread" a few days ago... check it out

 

I had an 1988.5 tr and it had a tubi. The sound was perfect and the look through the back grill between the tail light was beautiful as the standard exhaust is a bronzy rusty colour but my tubi was polished stainless and it looked awesome if you send me a pm I will see if I can email some photos for you. Mostly the sound made it worthwhile I had many club members comment on the great sound. rergard Tony

 

I've got an 86 Testarossa that came with the original exhaust. I replaced it with a Tubi about a year ago and love the looks and sounds. I have a Capristo Stage 3 on order and already sold the Tubi. I left my original cats and precats in place but they were hollowed out. My car passed emissions this month.

The looks are great but the sound is where it is all at. A low rumble at idle and then a nice growl starts around 3,000 rpm that continues all the way to red line. The sound level remains within reason.

I'm ready for something with a little more umph to it so I'll try the Capristo Stage 3 for a while and if it's too loud I'll go back to the Tubi. They do seem to be the benchmark against what all other exhausts are compared to.

I HAD A TUBI EXHAUST ON MY 1990 TESTAROSSA. DID NOT REALLY LIKE THE SOUND.. SLIGHT GAIN IN HORSE POWER... TRY SOMETHING ELSE TUBI IS OVER RATED IN MY STANDARDS....
