That's because it's over rated... blahhhhh. Defining a shape for a decade is nothing. What else you people want, saying that the 85 Bears was a decent team? That the Berlin wall being torn down was rather more of a party than a historical event?... I think its just given the time now. Rice and Rally ( In Euro ) is the craze right now which is why you see games like Need For Speed feature option menus where you can choose the color of the neon you want. Game designers are going to go after the young market which thinks Accords, EVO's and Lancers are the best thing on the road and define speed more than a design that 30 years old and that they only see in reruns of License to Drive and Magnum PI, ( which is something their old fart Dad watches. ) The 308/328 is an icon. But who sets the trend is just fueling a craze of fire right now by focusing not on history but what's "it" at the time. Why else do you see freaking Jennifer Aniston, who's biggest claim to fame was being boinked by Brad Pitt, be featured on just about every print magazine out there? Cause she's what's "it" right now. Rebuilding Asia after Tsunamis, the crappy economy, the war in Iraq and Afghan? Who cares, I think I saw Angelina Joilie drive away in a wing and spinner laden Honda Hybrid! Now from Ubisoft for PS3, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith's CarPool" featuring NOS loaded Eclipses, can you rescue the adopted Asian boy in time? RocketBoy
I hear you Rocketboy, but the odd thing is that PGR2 featured cars like the Dino or the 275 GTB, yet no 308. Forza even has the Scaglietti, but still no 308. PGR2 and Forza don't just sport ricers, but a lot of historic cars, yet no 308 or 328. Not sure on this, but I think the 348 is another unbeloved child of these games.
Maybe those cars will be in PG3 or the next Forza game? It looks liek we will seeing Andreas online because he has fired up the DSL!!!! Congrats! I look forward to racing with you and gang real soon! Thanks. Vince
Ordered, not fired up yet. Knowing SBC I bet this will be a long and arduous journey until I'm online with DSL. And yes, you can look forward to blowing me away. I'm terribly bad on XBox, just not enough feedback through that wheel.
SBC has in the past, simply mailed out a box with the modem, software and instructions. If they are still doing it that way, it shouldn't take too long.
Don't you know me better by now? I have two left hands when it comes to computers. Luckily I have a secretary who types all these messages for me.
Certainly. Official connection date is 12/14. At any rate I think we could all already pick some cars etc to practice our off line reflexes: a) what game? Forza, PGR2, RallyChampion b) what car/class? c) what track/city? Here a few suggestions: - Forza, S-class, Nuerburgring - PGR2, Classics (275 GTB etc), Barcelona - RallyChampion, Stratos, Monte Carlo (but I'm probably the only one playing this game) Any takers?
I'm willing to do PGR2... I have some cars that I like better than others but I'm open to anything. See you on XBOX LIVE.. Thanks. Vince
Game?? Forza. Forza. Forza. End of story!!! Tracks?? Road America. Road Atlanta. Laguna (tough track!!). Class?? We don't have ANY class!! ;-)
Anyone want to race Forza right now?? I am home with an hour or two to kill before the wife gets home.... Call me... (608)219-7396 Or go online and try to find me. Gamertag is "Ferrari Owner"....
Go to Best Buy, Circuit City, Target, WalMart, etc... Since you are a computer game vet, it looks like an expansion pack box for games. Its usually in the accessories section with controllers and other headsets. Black and orange box. RocketBoy
Not sure we're talking the same thing here. I have ordered on ebay a headset for x-box live. What I'm looking for is a website where I can order the X-box live subscription from MS.
All you need is the CD to download program to your Xbox hard drive. That can be purchased anywhere. Just like Rocketboy said you can go to Best Buy and they can hook you up. When you run the CD on your machine you will just plug in your credit card info, gamertag and a couple of other things and you are ready to go! It should be a painless process. Thanks. Vince
Roger Willco. Got my SBC DSL set and so far (keeping fingers crossed) it has been fairly painless too. Not on line yet, but the installation went smoothly.
I would definitely be up for this as well. Canceled my subscription a while ago but I this has reignited some interest, so I will get a new subscription card and I'll post my screen name as soon as I make one. Look forward to seeing you all online!
I got my X-Box live subscription for 12 months and today the DSL is supposedly to be turned on. So hopefully tonight I'll get a chance to fit the pieces together. Stay tuned.
