    I have read just about every review I can find but I have not had a chance for hands on nor do I know anyone with it, plus with it an 18+ game no one will rent it. THe mags and internet sites rave about it but then again they also raved about resident evil 4 and I hated that game. So I wana know first hand how is it? What are its flaws and strong points etc etc. and if you like it what other style games do you like?

    I've put a bit of time into it.

    Story isn't bad. Health is always needed. You are barely struggling along with health - always. It has been compared to Bioshock more so than Resident Evil. You are going here to get this, then going there to blow up that kind of a deal. I haven't finished it, but overall, it isn't bad. gf won't play it after dark. =) If you've seen the Yahtzee review (escapist magazine), he says that a lot of it is startling and not scary. While so, the mutated baby bad guys can be kind of creepy looking.

    So its like Bio shock.... thats a good thing in my book!

    Indeed. gf says Bioshock was much more creepy, because of the people and their nutty actions. In DS, it is more gore-type of creepiness.

    One cool level in DS is the zero-G area. Great physics engine overall.

    Bioshock was one of the greatest games to date, IMO.

    Bioshock is an amazing game. Anyone who hasnt played it yet, get it. You wont regret it.

    So overall is Deadspace a buy or pass?

    I loved bioshock.
