I have just ended the season and clocked up appx 6000 km this year in my 1965 QP. Who beats me? Unfortunately I was rear-ended a while ago so the car is in for a quite big repair this winter. I'll post some photos once the work has started.
Only 5500 kms. in my -74 Khamsin this summer, but most of them was driven over 9 days. My -79 Merak SS did 2000 kilometers so far, but it's not snowing here in Norway yet. Hopefully I'll do better next season. Best regards Marius
Put about 1100 km on my '60 3500GT coupe last weekend on an MCI-sponsored tour to Lake Tahoe and the Sierras.
...in my little blue wonder! 1st image is my wife in the rain near the Nuerburgring. 2nd image is with me in better weather conditions. Every mile is a joy! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Between 2-3000km in a Quattroporte III. Speedo/odomoter aren't functioning, but it's around there based on my average use together with the few longer trips I've taken.
Me too! I bought it in dec last year so I wanted to use it a lot. I also have a 328 GTB and that one tends to sit since I can only go by myself. So I wanted an italian classic where the whole family fits and I can't think of a better family enthusiast car than this. It goes without a saying that it did not miss a beat! I was even surprised at the relatively good fuel consumption. 13L/100km doing 120-130Km/h and a full car. This was the best result and the worst was 16L/100km. I think it is quite ok travelling in the worlds fastest four door car! Now a Golf is faster but it once was We have family on the other side of the country and we did two roundtrips at appx 1200km each with the car packed full of children and other stuff Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well if we are going to do photos, here is one of mine. This is the car being exercised during the UK Clubs Cameron Millar Spring Rally this year at Mondello Park in Ireland. Like fast Freddie I covered a fair amount of "Swedish" mileage this summer. But I managed only 3000km in my 1971 Indy. Stockholm and down to southern Sweden and over to Denmark as well. Many nice miles driven. Also a nice family cruiser, yet only 2-door Fuel consumption also impressive for my 4,7 L engine. Did 1.5L /10km over 4 hours drive at 150-170 kmph cruising. !
Hi all: I don't have one now but drove Marius's K 008 a total of a little over 200km's traveling from KHAMSIN QUARANTA down to my home and then exercising it a little locally before he and René who also owns one came back from Norway to pick it up. At K40 I drove about 250kms in the wonderful Quattroporte Bellagio by Touring a Khamsin owner kindly lent me for the weekend. It is one of five made and was a true pleasure to experience: thanks again to its owner! Bellagio photo copyright Arnaud Meunier. MS Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Marc, this thread is not about driving only 200 km in a car that doesn`t belong to the driver! Please read again the headline of this thread....
Walter the spirit of the thread is getting the cars out on the road for spirited driving as opposed to sitting in mausoleum garages or on Concours lawns so any classic Trident being driven deserves to be mentioned here if it can help those who never drive see what they are missing. MS PS: When I had my k AND was in Florida with it (I owned it three years but was in Europe for two), a 12 month period between late may early June 2004-2005, I did 4000 miles, 6000 kilometers that year.
Great - but here we are talking about 2012...or am I wrong? Also you get something wrong when you mention "in the spirits". We are talking about driving in OUR cars THIS year. Nothing less - but also nothing mo`...!
Yes but why the excitement as usual?! We are just Maser enthusiasts chatting no need to get all wound up and climb on your high horse again, you again forgot to take your Prozac so yes drive in the middle lane I have to go offline now, have good day. Marc Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't get this. Why is all this drama needed? If you're enforcing "thread purity" in someone elses thread then you better go back and look at my post then as it's about the same as Marc's. I can't believe I'm inviting Walter to attack me. LOL Marc, nice road signs ... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKj4L6GwL5Y[/ame] The older people Rodney refers to ... that's you and I Walter
Agree with the opinion that all driving experiences deserve credit here - if they deviate slightly off course... Just a sign of entusiasm. Purists experiences from this Year - ok so that deserves more credit. Of course.
