Was weeping underneath. I didn’t know, it was found during the power warranty renewal checkup.

    • DCT replaced, drive shaft gasket that is the typical failure
    • Grille corrosion - fender repaint
    • 3 batteries in 2 years, bad negative ground wiring was draining - stranded me twice
    • Two alternator belts ripped before they got me the upgraded pulley
    • Fuel filler neck cracked
    • Two broken cupholder clips at ~$700 MSRP
I am now an absolute believer in the warranty!

And how much is the warranty?

I don't have one , but I have a friend with a Huracan Evo, which engine broke (it was a conrod bearing filure, I think) and the dealer is still refusing to change its engine under warranty after 2 months of arguing.

Never had any power warranties on any of my cars, not really sure how much money you actually save when drawing the line at the end of the ownership.

Yet that warranty because it's the "gasket" wouldn't cover you so the transmission you'd be stuck covering anyways regardless of warranty. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but Ferrari Power is a false sense of security. Any manufacturer warranty it's in the interest of the car manufacturer to collect your money and not have to fix something. At least a 3rd party a dealership is going to want to milk them for all their worth. That's how I did it with other cars in the past if I opted for a warranty. Otherwise no warranty = freedom to do whatever I want and not have to worry did I void something.

The other items aren't that bad in comparison of paying for a potential peace of mind. I bought mine without any warranty and tuned it (little extra power and no check engine light with the cat delete) so would be void anyways. I'm at almost the same mileage just got new tires today and took a snap shot of the odometer so I'd remember what mileage I put the tires on...

No, Ferrari covered it. Which is why it was a replaced whole casing rather than fix one area.

2015. @rumen1 MSRP is about $7,350 a year. There is some wiggle room and when you buy they can do two years. At the time I bought it they did CPO with a 2 years for one promotion.

Road tripped to San Diego for a fishing charter (for non-US members: that's a 4.5-5.5hr drive, but sometimes 8 hours given the absolutely awful traffic in SoCal). Mildly surprised that all of my friends thought that was such a wild thing to do - Californians are driving their exotics to Vegas all the time, not that big of a deal to go the other way. Only saw one CHP the whole way back last night, and he was busy putting gas into a broken down 3 series.

At this pace, it's still going to take me until 2028 to hit 100k miles on this one. Need more road trips!

To all you high mileage F12 owners… how have you found your seats? Do you think the cushioning has worn or compressed? I have 30,000 miles in my 2016 F12 comfort seats and I find the cushioning rock hard and very uncomfortable on long drives. Frankly, even half an hour in them is sometimes unbearable. It feels as if the seat cushion or foam has compressed. Visually the seats look like new but I swear they were much softer years ago.

Maybe a little thinner feel on the bolsters but it’s still good on long drives. My right knee was getting tender though, I had to push the seat back a bit on the highway to straighten my leg.

Only had car since Sept 2022 (33k now almost 38k) the seats feels fine to me however I'm easy to please (I've had rough riding Nissan GT-R, the plastic interior Corvette years (2010 & 2015) so any of my nicer cars I perceive as being okay to me. :p

Oddly enough, the most comfortable Ferrari seats are the carbon racing seats.

I think the carbon seats are awesome as well, but you need to be the right body shape. Which is probably average height of 6ft/1.8m and 75 or 80kg. And no back issue.

Have the full electrics on my F12 and cannot wait for the carbon buckets on my incoming F8 Spider. As you suggest, I am the perfect size, 6’1” and 80 kgs.

So realistically, to buy a used but well serviced example with around 20,000 miles, no warranty, and taking up to 40-50,000 miles, it seems like it would be a roughly $1-2 per mile cost, not counting depreciation. Assuming no catastrophically bad luck.
