Hi Reza, quick question. Were you smart enough to sock away a pile of cash before the house of cards came down? And does your wife know you steal money from people for a living, or does she actually believe you are some kind of investment genius?

    Inquiring minds need to know.

I'm just trying to make sure I understand this, so please correct me if I'm wrong:

    1. Some of you saw a guy posting photos online of a Lamborghini and a jet, claiming that he has investment knowledge that results in returns even greater than Bernie Madoff ever promised (for the young folk out there: try looking up Bernie Madoff), so you approached him and asked to invest money, correct?

    2. And since then you've seen reports of returns so high that you would be a fool to try and withdraw any of this investment, right?

    3. In the meantime, a couple of other people have posted here and elsewhere that they've been unsuccessful in withdrawing their money from the accounts managed by this person's company.

So my question to all of you minions out there is this: Has anyone actually invested a substantial amount of money with this man or his company, realized an impressive return, and then successfully withdrawn that money? Anyone?

And for those of you who have money that is still invested, does the report of a sudden de-registration of this company concern you?

If you read the articles written by the star, it was a sting operation.

WARNING!!! Most of our good users aren't minions and gullible, but this thread has brought at least one user spamming/phishing users for forex trading 10-15% monthly returns from companies other than Capital Trust Markets. Just ignore and report to moderators. Thanks!

...it was a sting operation that allowed her to finally be served a subpoena by her investors. I'm sorry, but what does that have to do with your investment with this woman you met online? Have you been able to recover anything as a result?

If you gave money to this guy then I truly feel sorry for you. If I gave someone 500k I would not be on some forum trying to defend his name.

I recovered all my money through the sting operation, as for Reza, I have never had a problem withdrawing money. Is anyone on here a trader? If so, you know you can make over 10% monthly. I live in Canada.

You might want to ask, hypothetically speaking, how long it would take to get the $500k back if you asked today...

I made 100% and even 150% a minute 4 times in a row playing black jack, but letting it ride lost it all 5th hand. I won 80% of the time for 100-150%, but my final return was -100%.

Wow, what a thread... I think my words will get lost in these 500 or so posts.

Yet, I will make a few points.

I do think people should be able to remove their posts when they decide that they no longer want their words posted. I understand in this day of the internet everything you write is there for eternity. I also understand that removing them doesn't necessarily fully remove them from everywhere. Yet, as we head into this age of archiving every word, it's probably time to reflect on what is a positive balance. Someone says something in the heat of the moment or someone posts something a little personal that they no longer wish to share. I think it's probably in the communities best interests to allow users to self moderate.

All that said, when someone is being exposed with allegations or questions that could create awareness to others, then I think the threads and posts should not be removed. I think the internet is a great resource for gathering information and potentially assisting people that might otherwise be scammed.

I'm making no claims or reference to the OP but stating my opinion in general terms. While initially I would have voted to remove the threads for reasons of no substantial value, I think the information provided in later posts now might persuade others to investigate a bit further.

Minus as the scam artist slant this case, Rob seems pretty reasonable.

If an actual good standing member asked him humbly and politely to remove a certain older post because they were ashamed at thier comments made in a drunken stupor, I'm sure it would have been considered.

Don't like the rules? Go play somewhere else.

I am going to politely disagree. Forum are the evolution of books and newspapers. Can you imagine if people wanted their quotes taken out of newspapers after they are printed? Or letters to the editors? Sure we have the ability to do it because the format is different, but it gets too easy to make wild statements and claims just to have them retracted. People should self- moderate before they post not after. After is no longer self moderation.

Besides a really smart person could post a few things, get a topic going a certain direction, then requests his posts be removed and completely change how the other's posts relate to each other. In other words, they could set people up. Far-fetched, but it opens the door.

Unless the thread is closed a person is always free to post a retraction or a defense. While I understand your point of view, I respectfully see it another way.
