Who do you use for TV service?

We've had Direct TV for over 10 years. Unfortunately, I can't get the HD (too many trees), despite having a nice HD flatscreen. Also, my trees are getting bigger, so the picture is starting to pi$$ me off. I've had dish network here... same problem.

my requirements: speed TV, thats it.

    Is Comcast my only option?
the new AT&T bundle that was launched last year still has not hit the area.

pros and cons of your provider would be great
    thanks

Would you mind being a bit more specific about where in Chicagoland you live? I'm in the northern suburbs and have AT&T Uverse (which you said was unavailable to you) and i think RCN or time warner may still service parts of Chicago...

Mike, I have Comcast but no speed channel or BBC :( Comcast scks! Every month the price goes up and channels disappear. I'm going UVerse as soon as it is available. That being said, my parents have Comcast and get both speed and BBC. Check your area to see what they proivide.

Same here... I have phone, internet and cable with Comcast. I keep getting offers for AT&T u-verse and it's a lot cheaper so I called Comcast and told them I was going to switch. They got very competitive with the u-verse price. It was worth the phone call.

    I dislike the company myself.
Long story, but I don't want to give them my business. I was on their website last night. Very pricey too!

I have Wide Open West, it iscludes both Speed and BBC channels in addition to their HD package. I have found their customer service much better than Comcast.
