Who made these wheel weights?

    Sorry, can’t help you with the manufacturer of the weight in the picture, but I can tell you that that type of weight is not correct for Borranis. See below for the correct way of balancing wire wheels (with 4-5mm lead wire). Also, note the valve stem treatment.

    All I can tell you is that they are European (because they are measured in grams -- 30 in that case).

    But, Tom is correct --- all the older, wire wheels (like Borranis) were balanced --- in period --- with spiral wound weights wrapped around the spokes like in his picture.

    I personally would not use a rim clip weight on that type of wheel.

    I use Mr. Gasket "stick ons", they come in ribbons 4" x 1/2" and you break them into the length you need.

    Thanks Tom,
    I have seem the lead wire and it appears to have been used on the 50's cars many of the cars in the 60's and 70's used clip-ons. But I am not an expert just passing on my observations.
