I am looking for a 120 volt timer. One that has up to a 3 hour time. What I am looking for is the type that you turn on and it stays on for a designated amount of time then shuts off. Not the type that comes on and off daily. I have seen these as a "in wall" switch type. What do you call them? I've tried to do some web searching. Any suggestions? I just bought a Dyson cordless vac and want to use a timer. It says it takes 3 hours to complete a full charge. So every time I use it I want to put it back in it's changing cradle and set the switch to charge for 3 hours. That way I do not cook the battery dead in a year like one would if you have it charging all the time like they suggest.

    Thanks
    Rodney

Get the Intermatic wall-plug type with removable ON/OFF pegs. Manually switch it on, calculate 3 hours on the timer face, set the OFF peg only on the 3 hour mark and there you go!

Rodney, knowing you, I'm surprised you didn't piece one together yourself with spare parts laying around your shop! :)
