Posted this same thing on the ************.com forum, and since there's a Maser section here on ferrarichat, I thought I would post this here, as well... This involves the CC T-Bar lever, which Ricambi sells a version of, and which seem to break quite often in OEM form.
If any Moderator feels this is spam-ish, please feel free to delete it - my goal is not to make money off this (although I'll net a few bucks on each one for my time, but not that much really), just mainly trying to help out fellow Masi owners who might have an issue with their T-Bar pod & don't want to rebuild it themsleves. Below is the original ************.com post from yesterday in its entirety:

I ordered a couple of the Ricambi T-Bars - got ahold of someone there who's quite certain they'll fit, and also assured me that I could return them if they don't - so, based on that, I'm pretty sure that the ones they sell are identical to ours in size & shape, just made of better material & as a result, much less likely to break. I have two used pod assemblies (one black, one grey) that I'm going to rebuild. AND ALSO... I have a line on several more pod assemblies in various finishes that need rebuilding, and if I can get them for a good price, I'm thinking about doing the same with those.

So, my question is: Are there enough users on this forum that could justify me doing this? I'm not going into business on this here, but more looking to help some folks out who may need a new one, but:
A.) Don't want to fork over the $1,700-$1,800 that it would cost to buy a new one from the factory (plus additional labor costs to install, if you want the Stealership to do that), and/or:
B.) Don't want to rebuild it themselves for whatever reason - time, hassle, etc.

    Here's what I'm thinking...
    * $700 (USD) base price for the rebuilt pod. Price would include ground shipping & insurance within the lower 48. Keep in mind I have to buy the pod AND the new, improved aluminum T-Bar, so you know I'm not raking anyone over the coals at this price.
    * If there are any cosmetic blemishes, I'd adjust the price - I'd send you pics & we can work it out together... FWIW, the black & grey pods I currently have are spotless, so I'm referring to any other units I get in.
    * I'll check them on my own car to make sure they work flawlessly.
    * I'd offer a $100 discount off the price if you trade me your broken pod assembly, so I could rebuild & recycle that one. And yes, you could send me yours once you get the rebuilt one installed so that you wouldn't have any downtime with your Masi - we'd just do an agreement reflecting that via e-mail so that all things are understood.
    * I understand there are two different types of electrical connectors on these pods (have only seen one type so far, though); we'd coordinate to make sure that the pod you receive has the correct connector on it for your car, otherwise I would not sell it to you. In other words, it will be essentially a "Plug & Play" install for you once you receive the rebuilt pod.

What do you guys think? I've seen quite a few mentions of this problem on this forum, so are there at least a few of you out there that could use something like this? We're talking maybe 6-8 pods, max, that I could provide at this time, depending on the connector configuration & finish combination.

You can PM me, or respond on this thread, whichever you like.

    Cheers!

    DD

What I'm referring to, though, is the entire pod assembly for the Maser... the oval-shaped unit that contains the T-bar and the "Ice" & "Auto" switches.
