Of course there is smaller attendence on Friday...practice usually only draws the hard core fans who want to see the set up evolution throughout the weekend. And Friday is still a work day for many fans. Under the current leadership and owership, in five years I can see F1 having been degraded into an Indy-car-like spec series...and rapidly going down hill from there. Auto racing in the classical sense, in any form, will probably be gone by 2050...at the latest.

Well, MBS thinks there is still room for a 12th team in F1.
Things as they are, I wouldn't be surprised if this appens. ;)
Have you seen how the objections were brushed aside to make way for the 11th team?

2050, that would be 100 years since birth for me! I will be long gone before that!

The only people whom really needs F1 are the staff from factories, salaried staff tv/paid channels, technicians, admin, truck drivers, engineers, and all whom gets a salary and makes a living from it. Tens of thousands would have to find anotjer job to feed their families and pay rent.
We the spectators certainly dont need F1. There are plenty of motorsprts alternatives on land and in the water, and even in the sky. Top managers, team owners, drivers, and all top tier in this "sport" certainly would go on with their priviledged rich life in Monaco, Austria, England, etc. if F1 were to disappear in a split second.

    Absolutely !!
Also these alternatives to F1 are less elitist, commercialised, costly and have a more friendly atmosphere.
The choice is huge, the level of entertainment superior to a GP, at a fraction of the cost to attend.

Thanks Mclaren lol :) My thoughts as well. We lack what for entertainment? We lack nothing............F1 is not the ultimate. The news this week just shows how little true direction is apparent for the series. Next week it will be V4's powered by Hydrogen and Mermaids lol :)
