    Dear Lamborghinisti,

OK, interesting story. I'm at a shopping mall, and a older lady...a French woman comes up to me and KNOWS the car I'm driving....Diablo VT Roadster. She says she fell in love with the Miura at 21.

When she was around 21 She worked in a shop called Carlton Service at 3 Rue de La Tour in Paris. Everyday, a yellow Miura would be parked on the street in front of her shop. She said it was a very handsome man (like me....yes, she said that...so there...:)) that drove it and she fell in love with the car ever since....

The shop was opposite the Hotel Regina de Passy in Paris.

    Sooooo.....anyone here?

Shamile, there have been some nice period shots of Miuras in Paris posted here in our Miura thread. I somewhat remember a black and white shot of a yellow(?) one parked out in the open?

    Joe you there? :)

Well, one Frenchman who bought a new Miura in the late 60s, and used it as almost an everyday car, and lived in Paris, was none other than F1 pilot Jean-Pierre Beltoise. And the car was yellow!

It was the 56th Miura built, chassis number 3108 with engine number 1298 and he took delivery of it on the 2nd of September 1967 via local concessionaire Voitures Paris Monceau. According to Bob Wallace, Beltoise drove it all the way from France to Italy for Bob himself to oversee its servicing.

    Perhaps its this car...

Shamile if you are still in touch with her show her this pic of J-P B from the period and perhaps she can recall if indeed it was him.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

If there's one person that knows Lamborghini history...it's you Joe Sackey!

Wow....this is sooooo cool. She gave me her email and told her I would send her the results. From talking to her, you could see that the car clearly made an indelible impression on her.

I can see it now, 40 years from now, a few girls will be going up to future Lamborghini owners...."I knew this guy when I was 18-23....took me out for a wild ride in his Lamborghini, when the doors went up...giggle...well you know the rest" :D

Thank you very much Joe. I will c & p the photo and all the information...I'm sure she'll be pleasantly surprised.

I was very impressed how stylish this lady was....well, from Paris of course....

I apologize: the image of J-P B that I supplied was from 1974. If indeed he was the guy with the yellow Miura she knew he probably looked more like this image below which is from 1969. It will be interesting to see if she what she thinks...
