Just wanted to share the fact that I just did a 2,000 mile road trip on the '87 couple I bought last summer (Chicago to Cape Cod, to visit my aging parents). The Toyota stayed with my wife in Chicago, my regular long distance chariot, an '88 911, is still in winter storage, so that only left the Ferrari. Not only did it not come home on a flatbed, much less burst into a ball of flames, but it ran beautifully -- humming along at 4K rpm all day, and a good chunk of the night as well. That motor is so smooth, with almost a calming effect despite being fairly loud. I was actually surprised how easy it was to drive. I love this car more and more :)

When I first got my Mondial, I drove it from Florida to Pennsylvania without any issues. The car is great to drive and, if we'll maintained, should take you wherever you want to go.
