I was watching this show amazing video, and this guy in Monoco during the grand prix week was running a F50 through a simple cone course at slow speed he lost control and ran over a flag person who flipped onto the hood the car went off the track and over a concrete embankment into a store window 15 feet below. What a jerk this guy was. Who let him behind the wheel. It seemed that this was not his car he was driving it in hte course with his wife or girlfriend in the passenger seat. Anyone else see this incredible video.

Yes . Its been around the net for a couple of years. Reason why the front wheels locked is unknown . I dont think he was a jerk though...It was very wet , the F50 has no Abs..and the pavement looked very slippery.

Check any file sharing program like Morpheous, Bearshare, Limeware or Kazaa. That video has been around for many years. There is a couple more out there too. One of the most memorable was the 348 that blew the motor while doing a burnout. I am sure that costed him last weeks lunch money.

Just the F50-falls-over-the-edge clip again. Yes, it's real.

How can the guy go over the left fender off the drivers side in one angle and then CLEARLY off the passenger side of the car in the next angle, can't be real.

That clip has been around for years. It happened during the Monaco GP back in 95. It wasn't even an autocross, more like a customer test drive.

I just realized the clip showing the guy going off the right side is backwards...look at the Campari banner.

there are a lot of differences; note the bushes at the left edge of the adjacent garage slot to the left on the first vid, also the angle is much different and the most apparent part is with the man over the left side then right side.

Two different cameras, two different angles... the latter footage was mirrored, why I dont know... but overall its legit.

I guess those F1 Fiorano tires dont like slick wet blacktop.

Or maybe the driver of this car did it twice? :)

I agree, the film/tape development team reversed the film in the 2nd camera.

What is the commentator saying? It's terrible what happened to the suppose to be fun experience. It also doesn't make sense having windows so close to a driving course...

If you look at the tail end of the clip, the tires are straight, despite his cranking the steering wheel for all it's worth.

Something must have broken up front.

"the expensive cars are difficult to manoeuver (sp?). The official tells him to turn ... but the car goes straight and hits him. Fortunately, neither the driver nor passenger were hurt in the incident." Worthless comment! lol

Look closely, and you can see that the front wheels have actually turned to the left (in the mirrored clip, so to the right actually.) But since he locked up the brakes, the car goes straight. In my opinion, the car was fine and all the driver should have done was let go of the brakes to regain control of the front end.....

    Thanks, Julien, for your translation.
"The expensivie cars are difficult to manuever" I never heard that before.

It's not right for the official who got run over was excluded in the comment, too.

Yes, this was during the 95 Monaco GP, but I thought that the test drives were being given to reporters from various car magazines since this was near the intoduction of the F50. Can you say, "Well Pierre, we will be docking the $50k of damage from your pay, and thats if we decide to keep you employed..."

    :)
