I can't understand why ferrari is so expensive for a blank key and key fob. Especially when I can't find my key card. They want like $1700 for it all.

Anyone have mother way around this.

My wife broke her ford edge key , that had the automatic starter , and the key was $450.00 plus taxes. They made it sound that they were doing me a favor to reprogram the key for free, which took 5 minutes.
$1,700 really doesn't sound that whacked. Sorry I don't have a solution for you, just thought I would share a recent experience as a benchmark.

It's not outa line at all. Try replacing the keys in a newer BMW. Requires a new CASS module, and 3 new keys+programming, and the programming will only "take" if all the current dealer updates are done. $2300 at the dealer.

Ferrari pricing isn't that expensive anymore.

I just did brakes on an AMG Benz. 3k. The last 360 I did was 2500.

Matthew- OK, what advice were you given that was wrong? You were told to contact gobble since he could clone a fob for you. Turns out Ricambi does not have 360 blanks, but you were given other sources.

Did you contact gobble, who usually has fobs for sale?

I recently had a new fob programmed, and a new key cut (with logo if it matters) for $500NZ.
Shop around but gobble is the guy for the job. I would have used him but didn't want to ship my only fob to the US.
