    Most are regional moderators for the regional forums. There are very few "general" or "multi-forum" moderators.

    What is the "mission statement" for moderators? I realize there may not be a formal statement, but what is the essense of it? If a moderator's posts are VERY opinionated and divisive, then is that reconcilable with their status as a moderator?

    That being said, I have not had any issues personally with such mod(s), it is simply an observation. MODS RULE !

    Although I think you voted that Auraraptor shouldn't be a moderator, so he can spend more time with his GF ;)

    I'm not much for writing big mission statements and stuff like some of the mods :D but here is the basic stuff that I do......

    1. misspellings in thread titles...... it's not something that regular users can go back and edit so I fix it.

    2. fix vB code thingies.... a lot of people accidentally whack off one of the ] thingies so I will add it.

    3. ban spammers..... if someone joins up and their first post is an ad I delete it and then either warn them or ban them.

    4. scope IPs of new obnoxious users to see if it's one of the regular trolls or a sock puppet.

    5. I provide Carbon McCoy with a daily executive summary of what is going on with the moderators. When necessary I also provide him with direct quotes so he can keep track exactly how and which moderators are plotting against him.

    Mark and i are currently working on ****** Doc/Kitty Fishsticks-type set up where he can wear a helmet and just by looking in the moderator forum, what he sees will be beamed directly to my brain... :)
