Now anyone can get behind the wheel of this highly collectible racer car or a 1964 250 GTO.
all you have to do is play FORZA on XBOX.

I know we are not in age for videogames anymore, but with this cars ... is worth the risk, I mean the embarrasment.

look more Ferraris to be "driven" here:

Project Gotham Racing II for the XBox already had the 250 GTO.

There is a fantastic add-on to NASCAR 2003 (Yikes!) that transforms that game into a dedicated simulation of the P4. It was discussed on here.

The latest issue of Pilota has an article about all this btw. By yours truly. Having said all that: Me too I'm looking forward to the release of Forza.
    :)

Gotham 2 as well as OutRun 2 both had the more "common" 250 GTO 1962 body style
whereas Forza will feature the rarer (total production of 3) 1964 Series II GTO.

P.S. the inclusion of these vintage cars means the game is targeted or intended for a more mature audience don't you think?
so the message is: Old Farts (like myself) out there, feel free to come around and play it.

I never quite understand what are the motivations behind the selection of a particular car for a game like this. You have a point, but I think that is only part of the picture. Microsoft got the rights to the Ferrari designs (which is why you don't see them on PS2's GT4). However why they include certain cars (612) and others not (308) is beyond me. Also these console games often have additional cars hidden away, so more might be to come; same holds true for online play and an incentive to. Finally once they have gone through the pain of modelling one car for one game, they can probably reuse that model in another game.

    Hey look!

Is that a yellow Ford GT40 next to it on the bottom "selection panel"?
