    Hey,

A simple question - Barring "unforeseen circumstances", which of 'em will score more this coming season?.....

Cutting a somewhat longer story short, "Isobel" claimed that Nico would do better than the guy she refers to as "the 41 year old". :) I threw the virtual BS flag, and she challenged me to a friendly wager - Case of beer -v- bottle of wine....

I'm confident, but am interested in the opinions of the great unwashed herein ;)

    Bring it on!
    Cheers,
    Ian

Nico's talented, but seems adverse to winning races as opposed to posting fastest laps in practice. MS knows how to win, so I can't imagine Nico will be able to stay close to him. I'm thinking it will be like LH and HK.

Exactly. He is good,I always saw him as a potential FUTURE WDC. In reality,he hasnt won a race and cant really be compared to the greatest Champion to ever compete.

Michael will need every vote. Maybe the collective power of positive thought will allow him to outqualify Nico once in a while....;)

I tried to put a £5 bet on Jensen for the WDC when the odds were close to 50:1. Unfortunately, I never managed it... never figured out the online betting shops rules to actually place a damn bet and sorta regret trying to sign up after all the junk mail I've been getting. Didn't fancy running into the sort of clientèle you encounter in a physical betting shop around here - they're generally places to stay well clear of. Oh well.

Somehow, I don't think betting against Michael Schumacher is wise.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I'm pretty sure Isobel will loose this one, but anyway:

It would be absolutely friggen hilarious if Rosberg beats Schumacher. All the Rotkaeppchen fans would burn their silly Admiral hats.

    We're allowed to dream. :)

What has Nico accomplished so far? A few fast laps and thats it.

Vettel on the other hand is another story.

The thread should be Vettel or MS?

Nothing wrong with dreaming. Just don't be too upset when you wake up and see reality on March 14th :)

it seems that Nico is a better qualifier than a racer..Schumi on the other hand, he's something else..

Steve, I remember, I was one of them ;).

I don't blame the misguided for believing Michael remains Godzilla, but a former Minardi driver managed to hold him off last time he was around and with pressure mounting,I seem to recall MS feeling the the need to dig into the same old stunts he's infamous for. That was three years ago. Nico isn't Barrichello and the age difference between team mates isn't 4 this time, it's 17.

I laugh when I read Nico has never won anything. Senna never won in a Toleman and Alonso similarly in the aforementioned Mini. Big surprise. Although Michael's presence at M-B/Brawn may be high profile, is anyone under the impression Michael is supposed to be the future of the team? I doubt it and this leads me to believe the equipment level will be the same for both drivers, Brawn's friendship with MS not withstanding. It was a little different for MS at the old place.....

Nico can fly and at least I was impressed with his 2009 performance at the underfinanced Williams team, I don't believe many drivers could have done better.

So we'll see, kind of fun to have the wager with Ian, it only makes 2010 more interesting...;)

I voted Nico. Michael is great/greatest but he's old and hasn't raced in years, too much rust. Michael's strength is going to be his smarts and experience, question is can he match Nico's youth and speed.

Let's see ... I was recently at the Super Nationals (karting) in Vegas where MS finished 7th out of a starting grid of 40 beating both Schuemi and Piquet Jr who are arguably part of the "younger generation" of talented drivers. The only reason he didn't finish higher was probably due to the kart as other manufacturers seemed to have a better setup that weekend (much like F1). MS was the highest finishing Tony Kart in the final heat. Seems like he more than held his own against the young guns. I think the naysayers are going to be surprised.

Is... it's F1 anything can happen, it never ceases to amaze me...I don't know the odds but I reckon you could get some good ones at the bookies..;)

Nico has nothing to lose, whereas the expectation on MS well!!
