Obviously most of us would like a Ferrari driver on top, but let's assume Kimi gets mathematically eliminated, whom do you root for within the McLaren team?

I don't want to see another "McCheaters should be banned" thread, but really would like to see whom you'd support more.

Alonso is very unpopular on here, but there have been also many dissenting voices regarding Hamilton.

    Let's find out:

Hamilton. His performance this season has been exceptional. I have the utmost respect for what he has done (in the car) so far. I am always in awe at his onboard footage.

Alonso - I think that Hamilton has blown his one chance for the good PR.

Maybe not fair, but I can just barely stand to look at this little spoiled creep and his two dads after all that has happened.

I would also like to see a Ferrari driver take it but I will pull for the lesser of the 2 remaining evils and hope that Lewis will take it. He is going to be a good - great driver one day. I hope he can keep his mouth shut but then with all the garbage that came out of Alonsholes' mouth could anyone have kept quiet for that long? Whoever wins the WDC this year, it will always be the championship that ment nothing.

I'm rooting for Fernando. I think he was a good teammate until Hungary where Hamilton violated the same team orders that Fernando followed at Silverstone. I'm not happy about some of the things he did to Ron Dennis but Ron largely brought it upon himself by not punishing Hamilton for violating team orders. Fernando is the best driver out there and I just want him to beat Hamilton and prove that he can still overcome all the favortism within the team towards Hamilton, regardless of the issue with the scandal and its effect on the WDC.

    Hey Fernando. Kick his a$$.

At the beginning of the season, besides Kimi, I was rooting for Alonso. After some of his nonsense in trying to Blackmail his own team and the fact that he knew things about the Ferrari, I am rooting for Hamilton if Kimi can't win it.

I am going for Lewis (If Kimi does not win it) Hamilton. I can't wait til next season to see if falls flat on his face or not. Then we will truely see if he really is that good. If he really is, Someone needs to smack him down off his high horse and tell him not to be so arrogant.

I'm rooting for Alonso but for a somewhat onorthodox reason. I figure that if Alonso wins the WDC then jumps ship to Renault that will leave the McLairen cars wearing #21 and #22 next year :)

I don't think so. As others have said before, when the dust has settled only the statistics will be remembered. Nobody now really suggests that any of Schumacher's, Senna's or Prost's championships are questionable because of how they won some of their races, but if FerrariChat had been around at the time there would have been huge debates, like we're having about this championship.

Hamilton - only to keep Alonso from winning that 3rd WDC in a row. He (Alonso) is full of himself now, to the point of being unbearable, that attaining that record would cause his head to swell even more. Hamilton has surely benefited from a lucky streak this year - but it was his performances behind the wheel that put him in position to take advantage.

So which is the lesser of 2 evils, well both are d-bags so it really doesn't matter, I guess I would like Hamilton because Alonso doesnt deserve to be a 3 time world champ and Hamilton winning would revitalize the sport in new places.

I still think it would be even more fun if STR could pick up a point and hence relegating McLaren to the absolut dead last pit box.

Too bad they redid Monaco a few years ago. It would have been fun to have McLaren work on their cars in a "public" underground parking garage. :)

...I think that should be Ferrari top 3 priority right now...Kimmi WDC, Massa as high as they can manage, and third helping STR in every way possible to make a point!!!

...everyone in the factory should be praying for STR!!!
I´ll talk to YellowBirdRS and tell him to pass the voice...

I believe STR will be ahead of McLaren in the pits anyway because McLaren technically had all of their finishes DQed. STR at least has non-points finishes. The only team farther back than McLaren is Prodrive since they didn't even exist this year.
