Gee 3 x Bentley T Series for auction rare enough to see one . 1 in every 100 in that body built was a Bentley ..the blue '75 car is a ripper ..
Soft and as they came from Crewe . As my mechanic said to me when I booked her in to have the new shockers fitted "that car is the by far the best most orginal Corniche in Australia"
Well took the Corniche for a run again today, brake pressure lights went off within 30 seconds .....happy days ,those bloody pressure switches go sticky with lack of driving ...
This is one of my top 3 colours in these, disclosure in what's wrong would help with a sale I'd have thought: https://www.justcars.com.au/cars-for-sale/1971-rollsroyce-silver-shadow-saloon/JCMD5198461
Oh that's easy, I can tell you first hand. I have a 34,000 mile 1974 Silver Shadow. It's a spectacular two owner car. It's consumed over 300 hours and $16,000 in parts to recommission over the last 10 months. Note, recommission, not repair. I knew exactly what I was getting into and there have been no surprises. I cannot stress how important it is to avoid cars like the one you posted. Once sorted, these cars are exceedingly reliable and are surprisingly modest in cost to maintain, once you're over the hump from the previous owners tight arsed attitude towards the car. Back to that car you list, I would guess the problems would include the hydraulic system (brakes, master cylinder, control valves, seals, hoses and self levelling) the engine, transmission, final drive, tailshaft, rust, bald tyres, cracked leather, air conditioning inoperative, electrical fire, shot wheel bearings, dampers, all front ball joints and bushes including the roll bar, radiator, water pump, heater, hoses and headlights. The rear suspension bushes are very tough, they're probably OK. Good luck.
No different to a Ferrari from the same era that's neglected. I love mine, it brings a calm and relaxed disposition to my drive around Toorak collecting the rent cheques. Sometimes PP comes to assist too. Even he likes it.
