I have a 2003 Honda CBR600RR, fun little toy. I had a 1997 Triumph T595 Daytona before, wish I never got rid of it. Just curious if we have other riders in here. Thanks
Your CBR600RR is more than just a fun little toy...its a track-ready beast of a sportbike! A friend of mine just bought one a few months ago...very fast. Anyways, i do own a motorcycle, the off-road kind everyone hates. I have a 2004 Yamaha YZ250F that i paid for. Its alot of fun to take to the track, where i do most of my riding.
2003 Victory Vegas Don't get to ride it much though, I have had it 10 months and only have a little over 7,000 miles on it. But when I do get to ride look out, its a sweet bike with a stage 1 exhaust that sounds incredible.
I love the vicotry vegas, they are one sick bike. Arlen Ness headquarters are in Dublin and he usually has a good number of them with some nice wheels they look awesome. If I had the money after I get a Ferrari that would be my next purchase.
I own a 1985 Harris Ducati. Only one of its kind in the USA. I won several championships in the Battle of the Twins class on that bike. Weight 271# w/full fuel, on a Factory Dyno, makes about 73HP, which equates to about 100+ on a Dyno Jet. I'm going to hang it on the wall. I just got a 2003 GSXR 1000, #5, rode by Steve Rapp at Daytona in the Supersport class, which I just got today. Very fast, will make a good track day bike. Picture to follow. I also own a 1977 750 Bonnie. Motor has been done, cases lapped, only Truimph that doesn't leak oil. Motor makes about 60HP at the rear wheel (on the same dyno), in comparison a stocker makes 35HP on that same dyno. It also has stock looking pipes which have been manufactured to look like the stockers, but aren't, same with the alum spoked wheels, the kosman triple camps, etc. Bike works very well, but it looks like a stocker, unless you get close to it. Sounds a little built, but close to stock. Neat toy. Art
2000 Hayabusa 3,400 miles w/K&N, P.C. 2, and "full" Ti Muzzy exhaust. No Muzzy plate. Last of the unrestricted factory missiles. Thinking of a turbo ?
I have a 2000 Aprilia RSV-R. It's my second RSV-R as I stupidly sold my previous one to help purchase a Skyline! Never again! Going to the MotoGP at Donington Park over the weekend. Should be fun! Matt Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've got a 84 Cagiva 650 Allazura- repainted to fly yellow with Ducati badges.... When Cagiva purchased Ducati they took the Duc Panta and Tamborini made some new bodywork, but the dumb marketing guys put Cagiva stickers on it(?).... two years later all of their bikes said Ducati again. Duc Monster 750-stripped down to a roadster; V-Rod- all tricked out, very fun. Still looking for the right vintage bike, and have at least one ground-up chopper build in mind.
Nice descriptions of your rides, Art. More than touchstones. That is a "747." 2 buddies (twins) had those when we were kids - lived 210 yards away from me... we had 1/8 mile bike races, so we'd go 10 yards past their place and hit the brakes, sliding another 40-60 feet in loose gravel, sometimes ending up on the ol' church parking lot... 1994 Ducati M900, usual mods(exhaust, jets, gearing ignition upgrades, carbon fiber bits) bought new, never selling. Seriously in new bike mode right now. some former rides: Bultaco Purasang, Bultaco Astro, Triumph 750 Trackmaster, Triumph TR 6C, several Bonnevilles and Triumph 750 Trident (best bike ever owned) Honda Interceptor, Suzuki 1100 and Yamaha 250 MX
I do not own a motorcycle yet, but I am getting my motorcycle license soon. (after a very long consideration to apply for the license) I plan to eventually buy a Honda VTX 1800, I love it. and also a CBR-600RR would be nice.
art, the harris duke sounds like a jewel!! i have a 888 sp5 and a 748 race bike w/ all the corsa goodies. those are my scoots.
