It's a 66 with a 67 bonnet. You can tell by the 3 gills behind the front wheels and the absence of vents on the B pillar.
I remember reading somewhere that back in the day, it was common for split windows to be converted to a single rear screen as they were deemed not practical and less desirable…
C2's with side pipes get fumes in the cabin. C3's might be better because a lot of wind tunnel testing went into the design.
Yes, although perhaps not that common because there'd be a challenge to make the interior roof trim work. A lot of 63 cars were scrapped when relatively young due to rust in the "birdcage" which is the steel frame for the cabin. It took Chevrolet a few years to get on top of the problem. Good news for values of survivors though.
Hahahha, yep your right, Tiny compared to the 360... Couldn't agree more Rennie. Vettes are funny beasts , they don't wear well. I think partly because of the Glass bodies , and also after damage they rarely get fixed properly. Also prone to body movement and paint cracking they didn't age well. In the case of a big block extremely cramped to work on in the engine bay as well as the cockpit. So this probably didn't inspire owners to really get involved with DIY maintenance. Just my humble opinion. Always a pleasure to share old memories and stories with like minded people that can appreciate their worth..
