    Sadly no and yes it was a really cool car, I haven’t seen another Merc in that shade of green since, we bought it off an elderly lady in Leura in the blue mountains, it had been sat on the drive for 3 years, we got it for $1500 and after I replaced the fuel pump it ran like a dream, she and her late husband had picked it up from Stuttgart new and driven across Europe before getting on a boat to Australia, it came with all the old books, it was our first car after Seela and I got married and lived in Katoomba, halcyon day’s indeed:)

    I use to work in team of propellor head specialists for DEC (RSSG) where the QUARTERLY expenses for the group was just over $1M :eek::eek:

    We were known as the "Flying Squad" and I see the guy in the US section who does the Unobtainium parts for Ferraris is still with us :)

    He was in the " other flying " team from the US and he use to send me parts for my GT4 before I converted it .

    But at least our teams were doing 'proper' work, now like Steve and Gary ..... just getting steak and BJs :p

    Our job was to make the customers feel like they'd bought the right gear by trying to make it do what the product brochure said :p

    Gerrit (Mr Unobtainium) was my go-to person for RFC advise on networks .... lovely , intelligent man :)

    Now I can't afford a trip to the corner store for a pie ..... how the mighty have fallen :( :p
