Yup. He even bought one new. However, he was responsible for fitting power steering on the rear engined cars, adding the F1 shift and making sure you could fit a fatso in a 360. A dreadful and inappropriate legacy!

I love the 348. The Testarossa initially, but more so the 348 are the cars that made me love Ferrari. I lost count of the number of times I read the 348 review in Motor magazine which featured a beautiful dark blue (Le Mans blue?) car. So much so that when I first realised I may be able to fulfill my lifelong dream of buying a Ferrari it was a 348 that I wanted. I actually thought the 355 was a bit boring to look at in comparison. It was only when I delved deeper and spoke to a few other people that I decided to try to stretch to a 355. The perfect car would be a 348 with the 355 mechanicals, for mine. And the pretty rare 348GTB / GTS is probably as close as you can get. Such a shame that they have a relatively poor reputation amongst the beard scratchers, but whom gives a **** what they think? There are many "revered" Ferraris that I couldn't care less about compared to the lovely 348.

It is a cleaner look, and definitely prettier, but not as dramatic. The power difference from 348GTB to 355 is less than 430 to 458, by the way.
Yamaha designed 5 valve heads, plus better injection. In the real world, 348 has more than adequate power.
Pap, are the earlier car bottom sill black in color? or is that an option to have the sill as body color?
