Hi mate, Yep, the standard 348s from 1989 to 1993 should have all been satin black down there. My car is a December 1991 and it's been painted as you can you see from one of the previous owners. The back top rear of the engine cover and bottom sills should be satin black. They were colour coded in 1993 with the GTB and GTS models. The 348 Spider came in 1993 also and had red sills also. 1993 to 1995 they were colour coded sills and engine cover. When I repaint my 348 one day I will go back to satin black on the sills. My engine cover is still satin black now.
Very timely thread! Still playing catch up on all the forum banter, I’m lost somewhere around the waxing… My recently acquired 348 won’t be everyone’s flavour, but I’m loving it so far! I’m sure a lot will be changed in the future though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very good!! What did it cost to ship that from Japan in a container? Total cost including fees, cleaning, quarantine etc? Be interesting to know what shipping costs these days for cars in containers. If you don't mind sharing of course.
Winston's old 348 TS #88127, up for auction via Collecting Cars: https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1991-ferrari-348-ts-7
Too funny -described as 1 of only 35 in Australia -the reason for that , who would want one new let alone as a 30 plus-year olf Ferrari
I love the questions: "when were the belts done" Let's just forget about the camshaft belt tensioner, water pump, camshaft seals, valve clearances, head torque, camshaft cover gaskets, engine mounts, front coolant hoses, thermostat, fuel lines and a host of other things you'd do whilst you're in there. Not to mention a 348 has a "belt" and not "belts"
