“Our 430, they are a 4-2-1, it’s just the shielding makes them look like a 4-1 in the pic. Those are the only pics we have at present.

Our 355 gains are in the low mid range, not high up. You need a 4-1 for that, which we don’t do as it dampens the scream on a 355. No dyno graphs personally, that was the feedback of the customer who had an initial set.” - Larini

Pardon my ignorance but if going to headers aren't the pre cats going away in either case? Are the Scud headers a different length or something? In other words would a set of 2008-09 Scud headers fit on an 07 non Scud?

Scud headers are just challenge headers with air rails. No pre-cats. They all fit the 430.

How much louder is a car with only the Fabspeed headers installed, all the rest stock?

I would like to gain some HP and remove the built in cats (in the stock headers) but not make my car obnoxiously loud ( I want to keep the rest of exhaust stock) ; is that possible?

    Thanks

But no one still has definitive solution regarding CEL without going a tune route

We do offer O2 spacers that more often then not turn off the CEL. But there is no guarantee!

Buy the OEM challenge headers and take off those stupid brackets that crack. That's what I did and i kept the rest stock and love it. Slightly more volume. It still retains the oem sound. I had AP headers on my last f430 and I hated the low growl sound.

This is my combination and am very happy with it. It is plenty loud, when you want it to be above 4k ( Valves open) and tolerable below that just cruising. There are some burbles with downshifts. I had no CEL's with or without the mini cats, but have since had a tune and am without minicats. I have the blankets, and stock bracket that is adjusted and allows expansion with no cracks or rattles. Here is a video of a drive by.

i have the AP headers but everything else stock, and the valves are permanently open......the sound is pretty good, and very very loud, unless i am just idling along (after start up of course, when i usually set off car alarms around me in the garage ;) ).

I must add, that at higher revs the sound becomes a lot more high pitched. Hard to capture on video too.

Fabspeed headers, Fabspeed tune, straight pipe (i.e. no muffler and no cats).

I have the same set up on mine, but looking to change out my muffler to the sport one made by Tubi and sold by Ferrari. It's a dual muffler system.

my vote wld be capristo headers, capristo 200 cell cats, and s line valved muffler. The kline craftmanship is second to none but s line gets the best f1 pitch
Tubi muffler for more of a low bass sound. the challenge exhaust wasnt for me.
