Or Howard, or Whitlam or Fraser Keating cost me thousands thanks to retrospective legislation on import duty Gillard cost me $3000 because I was earning in excess of $300,000 , had to pay an extra 1% income tax for those slack ****s who had no insurance during the QLD floods years ago !!!! Fraser upset me as I thought he was a Lancia man and would look after the motorist ....... wrong ! Howard, there will never be a GST man ... right Gorton was the only PM I liked, ex-RAAF, always men of integrity
He’s done a bit to advance the unions and labor party cronies and set the rest of the country back for at least a decade Profligate spending of taxpayer funds that have kept inflation and interest rates higher than they would have been under any other leadership
Great to see: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02-25/nt-chief-minister-says-acknowledgements-of-country-divisive/104978632
My wife had to attend a medical lecture recently, part of being current on procedures etc etc. Every fu#*ing speaker acknowledge country this acknowledge country that Blah Blah blah, meaningless drivel. Utter rubbish.
Can these labor party ****s get any more idiotic in their actions. Thank god it was stopped at the border when these country wrecking socialists got the boot. https://www.skynews.com.au/opinion/andrew-bolt/completely-ridiculous-mount-warning-climbing-ban-still-in-effect/video/0f415e2b794a8192c01ad2a10e06ac14
Image Unavailable, Please Login I’ve always thought the top of Mount Panorama was a sacred site - sacred to Ford and Holden fans that is. But now a group of Aboriginal activists are preparing to go to court to declare the summit a sacred indigenous site, off limits to motor racing enthusiasts. Well, off limits apart from a small fee, of course. Mount Panorama is, of course, Australia’s most famous street racing circuit. It has hosted the Bathurst 1000 since 1963. But in late 2022 an Indigenous group sought and gained council approval to sprinkle the ashes of a Uncle Brian Grant on the summit. Grant, had no connection to Bathurst or to Mount Panorama. So they held a smoking ceremony. Next they sprinkled Grants ashes. Then they “scarred” a tree in commemoration of the event. Now they claim it is a sacred site needing a heritage protection order that would place restrictions on public access to the area. Ain’t reconciliation grand! Imagine if all this energy was funnelled into something constructive. And by the way, how is it that sprinkling ashes in 2022 someone makes the track sacred. I thought the race track was sacred after the ashes of Dick Johnson’s XE Falcon were scattered on the mountain in 1983 - a full 39 years before this audacious application! Image Unavailable, Please Login On a serious note, maybe ask the family of race driver Denny Hulme if Mount Panorama is a scared site. Unlike Uncle Grant, Hulme actually died on the race track - suffering a heart attack while racing his BMW in 1992. Image Unavailable, Please Login Anyway, if this is how it works now, I’m seriously thinking about heading down to Circula Quay to sprinkle my grandfather’s ashes on the Opera House steps. I’ll declare it a sacred site and closed to the public. Maybe I’ll charge people a fee to visit. After all, what would be the difference between that and what the Wiradyuri Traditional Owners Central West Aboriginal Corporation has done at Mount Panorama? I’ve been to a couple of smoking ceremonies at Mount Panorama - V8s! But I digress. If all it takes to create a scared site is to blow some smoke and scatter some ashes, then our country is in huge trouble. But if this legal action succeeds, that’s exactly the precedent that would be set. Incidentally, isn’t it amazing how sacred sites only seem to exist at known valuable places. Hmmmm. On a positive note, if this precedent is set it will signal the end to Welcome to Country. Why would you have Aboriginal elders anywhere near your property and risk them throwing around a few ashes of Uncle so-and-so before declaring your place a heritage site and off limits to you? Now, of course, this whole thing sounds ridiculous. Surely the government wouldn’t be so stupid as to listen to these race baiting opportunists. Don’t be so sure. The group making the claim are the same mob who convinced Environment Minister Auntie Tanya Plibersek to cancel approval for a gold mine in NSW. They convinced Plibersek that part of the proposed mine site was home to a dreaming story involving a Blue Banded Bee that no-one, until yesterday, had ever heard of. But that’s it from me. I’m off to dig up my grandfather’s ashes before heading down to the Opera House. I’ll see you there. For a small fee, of course.
Denny wasn't the only on the circuit – Reg Smith, Bevan Gibson, Tom Sulman, Mike Burgmann, and Don Watson.
I climbed Mt Warning TWICE 7 years ago I think Troy and I thought a 4 hour round trip would be "fun" We got to the top and Troy thought he'd sit for a while so I went back to the car Two hours later the boy wasn't back so the lioness gave the lion a directive to go back up and get him So, after climbing Mt Warning again I find the boy sitting on his arse at the top !!!!!!!!! I asked him what he was up to "just resting dad" Sometimes there is justified homicide Anyway, the point is, I saw no Aboriginal markings and I couldn't imagine them EVER climbing this place and having climbed it twice I would never recommend anyone doing it once, it's steep, long and unevenly spaced steps that make it hard
Utter insanity. i would think the Bogan's would be up in arms about that. If you follow that moronic logic through to its logical conclusion, then, if some Abbo likes the look of your house comes back with the ashes of his dog and sprinkles them on your letterbox and front yard and claims "sacred" are any of you going to just roll over and say sure come on in, make yourself at home, would you like a cuppa while I pack my things?

I wonder if this fella will claim 'land rights' on the parking spaces, perhaps he performed a smoking ceremony each time he alighted from his car, maybe there were family there to 'welcome him back to country'? https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/celebrity-life/tony-armstrong-fined-over-1000-after-copping-six-parking-fines-in-six-weeks/news-story/a0a02084430466f5d5d9ebde54a592dd
