It was Trump’s idiotic ‘trade war’ and brushoff of Covid in the beginning that was the lightbulb moment for China how much control they could exert via supply chains and the pure mass of their economy. Similarly his cosying up to Putin. If Trump was still in power would they be in Ukraine now? Doubt the generals would be changing their advice. Regime change does not have a good record and don’t forget the eastern provinces were in rebellion BEFORE the invasion.

Dunno, I think things will be rather different by the time we get to 2024 and will depend who the contenders are on either side... BUT Trump is so polarising he’s guaranteed to increase the Dem turnout.
