That’s the problem, people don’t see through the demagoguery- the guy has no policy except go for his enemies. It will create even more division in the USA. Bad for NATO, good for Russia and China in terms of influence in world politics and militarily (which is bad for the world), bad for Europe, bad for Ukraine, bad for the Palestinians, bad for human rights, bad for the USA’s standing in world politics, bad for the environment - I can go on and on. Electing a convicted crook, felon or even criminal? Someone without any morals? Really? Good for the rich and for corporates though who already have too much of an influence and who fleece the public. It’s going to be a **** show.
Absolute rubbish. Obviously you’re a classic lefty who doesn’t like democracy. The people have spoken. Get over it.
Typical..give me an actual opinion about policy instead of just putting out a few meaningless judgements based on nothing.
Leo, I think the issue with Harris and (And Biden's) policies is that their rhetoric about easing cost of living pressures in particular just didn't resonate with voters. Added to that were the Democrats continual banging on about "Racist Trump" then claiming they want to "Unify America" at the same time the Republicans are pulling more of the black vote. Biden even wanted to increase capital gains tax from 23.6% to 44.6% and even that turned the socialists off. The Democrats had four years to turn things around for the better and they failed. It was a totally wasted opportunity and a shameful performance really. Harris IMO came across as an unconvincing leader and the helm of a ship with little direction, placed there by her party without a vote. Trump has claimed he'll take a very hard line on illegal immigrants, war in Ukraine and protecting American business issues including manufacturing. Climate change and gender identity politics (Of which the Biden administration appeared to encourage the latter) don't count if you see your country being eroded by handouts, administrative waste and punitive taxation. Time will tell where this ends up for the American people. The fact remains that Trump was democratically elected and the Trump haters will simply have to accept the result.
Indeed, the people have spoken and they will have to bear the consequences. Trumps first term didn’t stand out for economic performance, nor for doing anything for the USA’s standing in internationally (except for Russia / Putin). Many empty election promises, an enormous increase of national debt and inflation. A guy that can only talk about himself in the most cringe way will find it difficult to listen to anyone as we have seen again and again. His own sense of reality is so poor that his decisions will be based on little logic, again like we saw in his first term. I sincerely hope that he can do something good for the USA without totally alienating the rest of the world. Let’s see what he gets up to and we will talk again in a couple of years.
Go for his enemies? He didn't do that in his first 4 year term. In fact, he said it would be bad for America to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton after her 2016 loss. You have any reason to believe he will now? All of the divisional rhetoric has come from his opponents, not him. Can you cite an example otherwise? I personally don't give a hoot about NATO. How is his election bad for Ukraine and Palestinians? Do you know who got the Abraham Accords through? (Trump). Who has promoted and financed the Ukrainian war? It was not Trump. It has been the current President, you know, "The Big Guy' who 10% was held back for. Electing a crook? He is a convicted felon only due to Lawfare by his opponents. Someone without morals? Have you met Trump and spent time with him personally? Good for the rich? Are you implying that the middle and lower classes will be unduly harmed by his policies? I disagree with that sentiment and would like you to cite specific policies you think would do this?
That’s gaslighting to the highest degree. I do wonder if you actually believe what you write. You have obviously not been following any news or seen any Trump interviews. He has frequently talked about retribution. But it’s pointless to even go into this as it is so off reality. Whether you personally don’t give a hoot for NATO has no relevance if it’s not based on any reasoning.
Actually I take that back 145 pages of wgif.. You get what you be deserved with the outcome. like we have Albo. : p
At the moment this thread is light entertainment compared to the cut, thrust and carnage I'm finding in looking for something to buy!
I supported my argument with examples. I watch many different sources for information (news). I have watched several interviews of Trump including Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan. I don't care about NATO because I am an isolationist. Can you cite any information or give any examples to support your outlandish claims?
