I watched the entire interview and the only thing Zelensky was pushing was the fact that Russia has reneged on paper agreements before - of which there can be no rebuttal. He's asking for a commitment from the USA that they won't stand by and watch Russia just try again in a couple of years... The Americans are giving no commitments. In the first few weeks of Trump this time, amongst the chaos we now have a ceasefire in Gaza. Europe is finally deciding to increase their efforts in Ukraine and internally. Note that Europe still spends more money on importing Russian Gas than they have given Ukraine in support (thanks to moronic climate change policies which are rapidly being undone as reality hits). . We now have a potential ceasefire in Ukraine. Let’s see how Russia reacts. Putin is a total ****, and should be eliminated, but let’s see. Bottom line is we are much closer to peace in the world now (even if the methods are distasteful to all of us) than we were a few months ago. The thing that's really sticking in my throat with the US today is that WE have, for the last 80 years, paid full price for all the equipment (and spares) bought from them, the only use any of which has had is in fighting wars THEY dragged us into!
