Sorry boys I was down in the sunny land of Florida for a week or so I am not sure I am the first - but should be one of the first. I think I was number 4 at my dealer. I did talk with them today and they mentioned in the next 30 days we should start seeing some trickel in. Mine is a 6 speed - so not sure if mine will be in the first dozen delivered or second dozen to the US. I do know they are going to be delivered first in Europe by a few weeks (less shipping time and customs clearing). I think you will see the first official deliveries in the next 4 weeks. I am hoping mine is in the first few! I am very excited! Rich
I've heard the same thing on time frames here. I'm in the first few and just can't wait. My initial deposit on the car was in July of last year and they've been true to their word so far. I can only hope it goes as smooth as it has been. I went Blk/Blk, silver stiching silver piping, egear, and carbon fiber to the moon so I'm thinking it should be pretty mean looking.....
thats looking to be truthful, just went and saw...just a media pic of it however... edit...more from denver auto show of yellow gcar spyder...by the way, pics were taken by ferraripanoz, from the Rocky mountain section... http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c73/rush109/DenverAutoShow2006003small.jpg
Today I was told the first G Spyders will bring msrp+$50k, a salesman from a deaer gave me this handy bit of info....Any thoughts on that? Can the dealers get $50k+ over or only re-sells from buyers?
Lambo and Ferrari cannot mark up on initial sales... However for those that buy and sell back they can mark up whatever they choose/can. This is very different than say the Ford dealers ala the Ford GT - where they will mark it up as much as they can right from the get go. For those interested the one I ordered is the Grigio Proteus (Dark Gray) with Black Seats and the Blood Red Inserts with Reverse stitching (black on the red and red stitching on the black). Branding Package, the new Callisto Rims with Black calipers, Navigation and reverse camera, power/heated seats, and of course a 6 speed manual tranny! As of yesterday - there are still none for sale in the US (or anywhere that I know). The ones out there are dealer demos only - and believe it or not - they are being returned to Lambo after the first wave of Spyders are delivered - they are not going to sell those (which they usually sell them to the dealers). However due to the recall, etc. they want to take them back for evaluation, etc. is what I am being told. Which does make some sense - these have had a good deal of road time and abuse - so would probably be worth the factory taking them back, doing a through examination.
Mine was pearl white and was a whole lot of fun. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=99264
Actually I think only 2 of the 19 in the US were the Baby Blue. There was also Pearl White, Dark Green, Black, 2 Orange, 2 Yellow, lime green, a dark maroonish, and a dark grey (Grigio Proteus) - of the ones I have seen pics of. Not that I am axious or search the web most evenings to see if anything new is out there... err..
I am pretty sure 04GCar will be one of the first. I know he should have had his by now but his is delayed. I am keeping tabs as I am truly looking forward to seeing it.
Whoever wants to be first can be so today http://www.drautos.com/search/srDetails.asp?itemid=287149&sessionkey={FB67E77B-1372-46FC-AB85-C4914E21E0CD}
