Actually he has to drag out the decision because he has to see how fast he is getting healthy again. He still suffers from sever bruising of his back.

At any rate, the decision has now been made by the doctors and he will NOT race the French GP and Gene will race instead.

The bigger question right now is, whether Ralf will have to sit out the British GP as well or not.
